I have a 2008 Corvette Taranis 4 that I'd like to sell to help me acquire a pro series ash $$ 5. Is there much interest in a German-made, pre-Rockbass Corvette Taranis these days? More importantly, is there enough of a difference in quality between the "old" Taranis and its newer Rockbass version that I can charge more? In a perfect world I'd love to directly trade my Taranis for the aforementioned ash $$ 5 and just pay the difference.

P.S I also don't really know what would be a good price (CAD). 1400 OBO is my instinct, maybe that's high? Shrug

Hey Max, when you decide the price, please create a post in the classifieds :)

The „old“ Taranis is Made in Germany, the Rockbass version is made in China. Also the features are different. The German Taranis has a sandblasted finish, the Rockbass not. Ovangkol neck 34“ versus maple neck 35“. Passive MEC J/MM pus with extra large polepieces vs. EMG 35DC humbuckers. All in all they are different basses.

The original Tarana were sexay! And I have only ever seen their sandblasted bodies in either black or red colors.
