    is now using Warwicks??

Was reading the liner notes in the new album, and Adam thanks Warwick basses. Did a little hunting and found these little clips, with Adam using a Buzzard and a Stryker. Pretty cool...

I mentioned this in the Frankfurt Music Messe thread too, as I suspect (and Flo's response would suggest) that Adam might make an appearence as a Warwick endorsed artist.

I was surprised no one else had mentioned it - cds been out for a few weeks now, and for once this wasn't the result of any inside info i've sometimes been privvy to.

    Here are the clips:

Adam seemed pretty happy with the Buzzard.

Prior to recording the new record, Adam, had recently watched some Who documentaries, and called Warwick because he was inspired by John Entwistle's tone. Adam normally uses passive basses, so he and his tech were seeking some advice. We sent a Buzzard and a Dolphin as per their request, and I suggested the Stryker. I too am curious to see how it all unfolds on tour.

Cool! It would be great PR for Warwick to tour with the biggest rock band in the world!

40 is a great bass line, but it wasn't played by Adam Clayton! In the Red Rocks the video Edge takes the bass for that song and Clayton gets to play around with the Edge's guitar rig.

Great for Warwick and Adam!! I saw those footages too, some weeks ago. I also saw him playing a Gibson RD and a '76 Thunderbird.

    Hi Freddy.

Can you tell me which Warwick bass this one (pictured below) that Adam Clayton is playing might be?

    Thanks for your help.

It looks like a Streamer Stage 1 or a Streamer LX...

It is a Streamer Stage one, with mirrored P pickups. John Entwistle's style.
