I just saw this beauty and I was impressed by its suggeted retail price: 7.359,00 EURO.
I would be interested to know how this price is justified, as [even it has "W" & dots leds] it seems to be a little bit expensive.

    I wouldn't exclude that I'm missing something... :)

    Thanks!

it´s just the suggested retail. so for that the price is allright.

if you buy a cs-bass you won´t ever pay the suggested retail price.
my music-store tried me to pay 4.600 EUR for my bass (that was the price of the cs-pricelist on warwick.de). i never went back to them :)

    Hmmm...

Maybe someone could explain this "suggested retail price" system?...

It's like it is with every bass you see...the company gives it out and says a price. And ever big store is just way under hat suggested price ;)

An wxample from a german musicstore, I chose another brand than Warwick to show you, that this is not only a typical WW thing

    K 5 TKF Transparent Black Flat - Heavy-Bsse

You see that "UVP = 998€". UVP means suggested retail price ;)

So big stores are always way under that. Nothing specail with Warwick CS :)

Typically, street prices at the "big stores" are 25-30% less than the suggested retail. And of course, better deals can be found...

As for the expense, I can see the reasons why. A standard Stage 1 is expensive enough, but the chrome finish on a neck thru bass like that and LEDs... they are serious upgrades

I think removing the metal finish from the neck would be a bitch!

apparently the HP coats on the back of the neck are harder the play with (i assume because your hand grips it more making it uneasy to move quickly up and down the neck). so if you remove it, its easier to play. im pretty sure thats why but wait for Flos reply as ive never owned a HP neck.

It felt unnatural to me, like a bottle of beer. Not that I don't like beer, but I prefer a fast oil finished neck.

It does feel different.... but not different enough to warrant stripping such a lovely finish...

Also, I doubt that you could remove a finish like that 'naturally'... if the chrome finish is anything like my high polish finish there is a really thick and durable coat of poly gloss over the top... you would need sandpaper to remove it
