what exactly does all this mean? is it four stripes of ovangkol with three small stripes of the body wood (swamp ask in this case, the vette $$) in between, the laminated all over?

hey Alex, what it means is a laminated neck is made up of more then 1 piece, each piece being a lamination. Not all of them have Maple veneers between the laminates,my Thumb's neck is 5 piece laminated neck with Ekanga veneers between each.Is that a bit clearer?

You're right. It is only standard on the Dolphin, Thumb NT, Infinity NT and Streamer Stage I and II. In the case of the Dolphin it is maple stripes, the Thumb NT has the Ekanga veneers you mentioned and the Infinity and Streamer Stage I have Mahogany laminates. On the Stage II we put afzelia. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

What about the maple neck on the Streamer $$? Doesn't that have maple veneers?

Gosh! I never imagined so many woods are being used in the standard necks. Or even being used in the first place. I thought it was only ovangkol laminates glued together. I wonder how this affects sound.
What about Corvettes and the FNA Jazzman?

Just visited a hard rock cafe for the first time yesterday and....wow, fantastic place cant wait to play there, although the stage is tiny, we'll probs end up playing while sitting on the audience. :D

We've been told to bring some signed memrobelia...maybe we should donate JR's drum kit and get a drum machine instead

Corvette Standards and Jazzman series have standard ovangkol laminate necks.

Doh! I just noticed you were talking about all the neck throughs.
Never been near a Warwick neck through, and was wondering where exactly were the veneers on the bolt ons I 've tried. Stewpid me!

Yeah I'm greek, like they say nobody's perfect. I 've seen your nice photos with the white Thumb in the forum. It's funny, I drive through that street every time I go for a rehearsal, never been in there though.
Damn, now that I think of it, it's a rare opportunity for me to get close to a Warwick neck through. I 'm not worthy! :D
