Finally, I decided to do the 3 pus Thumb bass with my extra MEC pickup and OBP preamp, if this bass is all stock I may not to do that, but this bass came with repaired truss rod, stainless fret and unknow nut....It is my fourth Warwick with repaired turss rod by the way.

this bass has alot pickups switch options, and the preamp provide more bass and mid range, it is very powerful, I like 3 pus open in the same time the best, the neck pickup provide more punch, and sometimes overload....

Before I went to do guitar shop, there are 2 bassist want to buy this bass....they thinks this bass modified well...its fine, I wont sale any my Warwick anymore.

It used to be a Maple top,Mahongani back 50/50 Thumb bass 6 bolt on, with standard 2 mec soapbar pickups and 2 band EQ like the others bolt on thumb bass 6 strings.

I bought it in low price because the bass had been repaired due the bend neck(warwick neck problem on happen in Taiwan), the truss rod, fret and nut are not Warwick standard parts now, I always like the neck pickup position on the 4 strings thumb, so I took out my extra MEC pickups and OBP-3 to give him a upgraded.

The 3 ways switch provide 3 options of pickup select :
    A. 1 & 3
    B. 1+2+3 (blend control goes 1 + 2 or only 3 )
    C. 2 & 3 (original)

The option B is really full of everything, the 1+2 has great slapping sounds too, I used to expect the option A : 1 & 3 for slap but the neck pickup may too close to the neck.

There are 2 problems on this bass, the first is I can't sell it in good price due the modified but it is fine, I won't sell my Warwicks anymore, the second one is it seem easy to overload if the neck pickup is on...

I think I would have spaced the pickups evenly. Awesome job though!

Interesting mod, you have created a "mudbucker Thumb".

Looks like there's enough room between neck and middle pu to add a fourth one. :D

No room to pluck/pop the way I see it. And the reason to add a neck bucker is to provide more bass, but the positioning could have conflicted the intention.
