    I got it about 2 weeks ago but I've been too pre-occupied playing it to make a post!
    Seymour Duncan Basslines instead of the stock PUPS.

    It has an active preamp, but I believe the pickups are passive.

    Wow... look at that wenge neck... tasty! Congrats.

    I bet those soapbars are active. There is an easy way to find it out: remove the 9V battery and check if in "passive" mode the bass keeps working. :)

    If I take the battery out, it stops working. However, the battery it came with died yesterday, and the bass still worked in passive mode.

    I've had basslines before in an ESP bass and they were active pre, passive pickups not sure if the same thing here idk?
