hi can anyone id my warwick plz

Yeah, certainly looks odd… for me was the sharp looking bottom edge of the body. Could just be the light. Paint mod. I think I see a Streamer under there. My eyes are getting old though. It’s got the paddlehead. Straight Schaller tuners. Wenge board. 24 frets. Pickup config (not pickups) and...

hi can anyone id my warwick plz

Did you mean ‘86? Warwick didn’t exist in ‘76. If the truss rod cover is original… “licensed by Spector” showed up in late ‘84/early ‘85. Spector headstock was switched to the modern design late ‘85…or at least by January ‘86. Do you see a serial stamped anywhere on the headstock? Credit for...

1985 Jd Thumb Revisions And Comparisons

Whatever the real story may be with the history of JD and his sig Thumb…what was produced; was an absolute handmade work of art. Something unbelievably special every time I pick up #125. Loveliest Bass I’ve ever held in my hands or seen with thine eyes :) Very sad to hear he passed from Covid...

    =The Warwick Thumb Club=

*edit: I must have had a stroke when I looked at that ad. Not the earliest I’ve seen. Haha. Thought it was Jan ‘86. Whoops  Still cool though…As it’s the 1st Thumb 5 of 1987. It’s sibling is L 60 86 :)

Info Needed For Warwick Streamer Lx5c

Yeah, that's standard for the pups on that model. Never heard of a "C" at the end. Don't think that's factory related. Possible that the shop added it on the name for some reason. And so you're fully aware of what you're getting. That spec list up top is a bit off for this specific LX & Year...

    =the Warwick Nobby Meidel Club=

And while the Nobby club is geting attention... 7 little fellas reportedly at a show in 1984. I see 1 fretless w/lines & dots and 1 no lines. All Wenge necks. 2 w/Schaller pups, rest EMG. Can of wax. Warwick snare?? Awesome! Look at all those orange cases... where have they all gone :(...

    =the Warwick Nobby Meidel Club=

Hi! Just the “body”? Neck cut off? Pictures? As for tuners... accurate with a modern touch would be Schallers newish ones...unless you could find some era correct Schallers. Gold was default...while the few painted Nobby’s “usually” had black hardware.

    The Heads Up Thread

After a recent $500 price drop, it’s definitely time for a heads up on this ‘07 LTD5 for 2k. I love mine...and aside from some slap damage on the end of the fretboard (they only mention scratch on back) this one looks to be in decent shape. Price is right. It’s a Sam Ash in Los Angeles. Not sure...

Welcome to the forum and Warwick. Congrats on the Early BO! Remember, as Nacho says...no pictures = Bass only exists in your mind :D Yours would be the 181st Thumb BO4 ever made...not just that month. And yes, December. As for woods... Lots of 1st year BO’s had a Walnut body. Neck...

That’s a lovely Streamer. I thought that mark at the base was damage, but just grain. Clean looking aside from a bit of thumb wear.

    Broken Tuning Machine

Aside from the newer Schallers which I definitely want to get at some point... I can vouch for the Gotoh GB707. Japanese made, great quality, very solid. I have em’ on all mine except the JD, which of course has the original Schallers.

Darkening A Finish On 1994 Thumb

@Wordsalad That is a lovely Thumb. Doesn’t seem abnormally light on color at all. If me...would not touch. As mentioned, Bubinga naturally has a range of color...with orange being the dominant hue “almost” always. I don’t see anything out of the ordinary with yours. It’s an original factory...
