have you talked to them about neck stability?

My custom shop 10 String does not hold the tension of 10 Strings with a good action.

If they can take measures let them take it

My 10 string works well, the 8 string has a bit of bow. Good point, Sascha!

@schlobodan Your 10-string is an LX, right? My 8 string is an LX too. Maybe a hard neck wood and neckthrough is important for a stable neck.

Any wooden neck can go bad tbh. It is just the way things are. Knurls, other irregularities in the wood - some invisible to the eye.
My USA made F 5str went completely warpty doo after 12 years of being okay. Maybe I was using heavier gauge strings I don't know.
I guess the tension of four strings and a low B will be roughly the same as the tension of 4 bass strings and 4 eggslicer strings?

There's also different gauges between sets of strings...

d'addario sports 045 - 018 - 065 - 028 - 080 - 040 - 100 - 050
W red labels are 040 - 017 - 060 - 025 - 080 - 035 - 100 - 045

with 5 strings strung it has a super low action an the neck is perfect - simply too weak for 10

What'll we do 'til then?!?!?!
Oh, there will be some interesting things to speak about in the meantime. For example the final design of the headstock and ofc the design of the flamed top!

This time yes. I nearly never use the eq, active/passive is more important. Again there will be a Gibson style on/off switch.

So, March, huh... :)

I will travel to Warwick HQ in January right after NAMM, clearing the details. Hopefully I will see the 2020 news by chance.
I‘m still not sure about the final design of the airbrush. Steel frets? Carbon reinforcements for the neck to increase stability. Neck profile? Orange inlay for the forward knob? Matching headstock in chrome or black chrome? Most important: no plastic compartment cover! You see, there are still a lot of things to talk about!

Are titanium or tungsten carbide frets options? :D

Seriously though, wouldn't steel frets affect the tone quite a bit? I attribute some of that Warwick tone to the wonderful brass frets.

Hmm, what tone is the Warwick tone? I will trust the advice of the CS guys. If they suggest brass frets I will stay at brass frets. But if the difference will be 2 per cent or so I will change to stainless steel.

I think brass frets matter. I have the Titanium frets on my Stradi (wenge/purpleheart neck and Pao Ferro fingerboard), there definetely is a grwol from Wengé, but the titanium adds some "zinnnng".
I also have the Carbon Reinforcement, and combined with the Singlecut, and hard woods, it gives a stunning strength and resonnance due to the sheer solidity of the neck. It's also light. I'm not sure I'd go for titanium frets again, but I KNOW I'll get the Carbon tubes.

Come on now, you have a room full of Wicks. You know what the Warwick tone is. All but one or two (or all?) of your current collection have the standard brass frets, no? Stick with brass.
