...aaaand speaking of Agent Steel and Judas Priest, here's something interesting:

Agent Steel - Avenger, at the 2:52 mark:

"The streets wet with blood and the sky spitting fire
No one escapes from the clutch of the damned
Ascend, ascend to the throne of your madness
A skeletal knight with a scepter in hand"

Judas Priest - Saints in Hell, at the 3:23 mark:

(btw dear lord, what a tune)

"The streets run with blood from the mass mutilation
As carnage took toll for the bell
Abattoir, abattoir, mon Dieu quelle horreur
For a time is was like second hell"

Have a listen guys. What do you think?

Love old Judas Priest. Not bad for. Joan Baez cover lol.

Jester I saw Priest like 4 times starting in 82 and I never saw them do Tyrant. Great tune.

Stained Class is easily my favorite Priest album. If fact, I just queued it up on Spotify. I'm not digging out the cassette, LOL.

Who can blame you. As I was looking for the track I saw the album's tracklist and had this feeling of extreme awe. It's a phenomenal album. I do place Painkiller next to it however, but for very different reasons.

And speaking of influences, here's a little Manowar for you:

Firstly, Typhon, intro riff at 00:13

(Btw after the intro riff you can hear the bass sound click with the kick. The instrument is an Ibanez AFR with a piezo pickup therefore the click. A forum member purchased one of those in the last year if I am not mistaken.)

And secondly, Blood of Kingu, intro riff at 00:21, same with also lead part at 01:17

The first tune is from Lemuria, second tune is from Sirius B. Therion released those simultaneously back in 2004.

I was enjoying these guys this Sunday morning:

But, of course, that was not very metal of me, so now I'm making amends with this one:

That was quite metal of you. By the way, Gaahl is back:

For some obscure reason I found myself listening to some good old Candlemass today:

Greek prog band. Their keyboardist died today, on stage, age 33. Just listen to this stuff. I only discovered it because of his passing:
