Hello,

I have a Corvette Std Ash MIG 2007, and as much as I love (I really do) the wood (the neck seems to be designed for my hands) I find the sound too modern for my taste, and for the kind of music I play (jazz/blues/songs).

Is there a solution (pickups and or preamp) that could make it sound more vintage ?

Thanks in advance

Luc

Salut !
I gave you some advices on OnlyBass, so I won't reiterate here :)

I guess a Warwick will never sound like a Fender. The very stiff neck makes it always a bit more aggressive. You could try more vintage sounding alnico pickups. Flatwounds maybe?

I advised for a set of Seymour Jazz Antiquity and a passive wiring vol/bal/tone. Or maybe with a Tonestyler.

I'm pretty sure you can achieve a nice vintage-y sound with a Ash body corvette.
