Hello,

I'm interessed to purchase a Warwick Corvette Standard Pro Series Passive Ash 5 strings version, but i do not find anything about the neck profile of this bass.

Is the neck profile is the "Fat Neck" profile with a U shape ?

In this case, i'm going to buy it soon ;)

thanks !

P.S. : i am not speaking english very well

The bubinga version is not far from that weight.. I wouldn't compromise body tone wood for a couple of grams. But that's just my opinion.

It's impossible for me to try any version of the bass, just pray for maybe find it in used market ! (google translate power !)

Bubinga sound better ?

Which one is better depends on what you like and want.

I own a Corvette Std Bubinga Fretless.. and the mid-range and growl coming out of that bass is heaven.

Ash tends to be warmer and lighter, with good lows and highs, but not very pronounced mids. Sounds fatter, but can get boomy if you have a lot of lows.

Bubinga is brighter with a more focused mid-range and better sustain, which I believe plays a big role in the "Warwick tone" and growl.

This being said, the bass tone depends on a lot of other things and since both versions share the rest of the components the difference may be subtle. But it is there.

If you cannot try them before buying.. well.. I would go with Bubinga. You are buying a Warwick after all, and Bubinga is one of its "trademark" woods.

Good luck with your buy!

I believe the Fortress was cancelled by the time the fat neck came into effect.
