The one with wet grass is amazing! What lens was that?

Thank you! That was actually taken with my Minolta 70-210 F4.5-5.6 Zoom. I find that you can get some different looking photos if you use your zoom in situations where you might normally use your standards lens like a 18-70. (not that I'm an expert or anything). That shot is actually my front lawn. Woke up one morning and went out to get bagels, saw the lawn shimmering and had to go back in and get my camera.
Here are a couple of others

Wow, this is a great thread. I get on photo kicks every so often, usually inspired by a moment or mood. 99% of the time I just use my phone. Photo_090908_002.jpg
Yeah, the pets are a favorite subject. Maybe not the most artistic stuff ever.

Just got into the hobby of photography, and as I have watched photos of you guys it really surprises me that many here are very skilled in this field. You're not just bassists, man. :p

Here's mine, taken with a Panasonic Lumix GX7 mirrorless. It's the best among my pics so far. It's a lightning in the night sky.

Hey guys!

I'm trying to create a portfolio as a part of my exhibition grant application.

Here's what I have so far:
http://siderocks.portfoliobox.me/

Any ideas? Opinions? What could I do better?

Thanks.

All looks good to me although I'm no technical judge! Only comment would be that I'd like to know a little bit more background on the locations / narrative, either beside the individual shots or as a separate summary page on the site.

Well, you know I love your work and this portfolio seems very clean. My only concern is with the scrolling which, on a table, will be perfect. On a PC you have to know to middle-click (a Windows PC anyway) to be able to scroll fast. Beyond that, excellent work as always. :)

Thanks for your feedback. There's a little bit of narrative when you open a photograph, something to think about. But maybe I should add a bit more info.

Thanks Cliff!

It's the damn template. I actually had a better one that worked really well but a couple of days back I logged back on and I was informed that the template requires a pro account. So there was only one horizontal template to choose from as I chose to proceed with the free account. This is a problem, it's a dumb UI. I'll try those vertical templates out.

Nice shots Cygma. I especially like the portrait of a kid and the first landscape. Looking at such view soothes my mind.
