Well interestingly warwick seem to believe they are worth what they sell them for. Not what a load of randoms on the Internet think.

Warwick also thought the value of my truss rod repair was 4200 euros so that must be the true price, huh? :D

I actually messaged him politely to ask him to consider a price and he rejected. I'm allowed to do that. I never told him what he should value his bass at. But you assholes carry on making stuff if that makes you happy.

My commentary was directed at people who just message people to tell them they are overpriced. That is different than making an offer.

Did You write "You should sell your stuff for half of the price because i want it and i don't think its worth more"? If not, then it's fine.

As long time Warwick enthousiasts who have been moving around in the used market for years, we have a good pov on the fairness of prices. If someone wants to sell his used bass for a price that is not even close to being in line with what most others are selling for this is not called freedom but stupidity.

When multiple would-have-been-buyers point out the asking price is about double of what would be fair, and nobody ever got close to wanting to pay the asking price the seller should start to wonder whether or not he is doing the right thing and whether or not he has payed way way way too much for that instrument himself in the past.

There's a SS2 5str on ebay.de for 4500 euro, it has been on there for three years now and probably will be on there for another 3 or more... Just saying...

I'm not sure, but yes I think the price Warwick gave you was their true price.

So after a nice pointless discussion about coffee here's a wick for sale.

Warwick Vampyre SN5 German made bass guitar £799
https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/warwick-vampyre-sn5-german-made-bass-guitar/1160956369

Well, no. I got it fixed for £500 by the guy who used to do the LED's for Warwick but considering Warwick's rip-off prices nowadays I suppose 4200 euros is their 'true' price.

And that Vampyre is FARRRR too cheap. SN should be going for at least £3000 remember?

:p

Exactly. To be honest, I don't even like SN's that much so probably wouldn't have bought it anyway. Still, he said he's happy to wait as long as he needs for it to sell so good luck to him. I think he's actually just showing off rather than trying to sell it. :D

Who cares what it's called? At the end of the day it is the sellers discretion to do sell the way he wants. People worry too much about how others conduct themselves.....

Good news for me then! If I ever go to sell my Infinity 5 NT Buckeye Burl I should be looking to get around 7500 euros for it. I'll keep that in mind. 8:
