Wow!!! I had a tough time finding my 6 string fretless. That is quite a stunning sight to see :p Did you buy them all back in the day or over the years? I have never seen a vintage thumb with partial fret lines like the one on the far right. Very cool!

Hi Jeroen !

The last member of the family is missing, isn't it ?

Are you planning to change the fingerboard on it ?

And about your projects, please don't forget to keep us updated !

Cheers.

You've made it! Owning 4 6-stringer thumbs is illegal according to international law.

Nice basses! Which one do you play most? Are there big tonal differences between the 3 fretless basses?

Dear Jeroen,

That is a beautiful collection that you have. I noticed that you are using Bartolini pickups in all of your basses. I just have two questions . . . Are your pickups active or passive? and what preamps are you using in your basses? Thanks.

Jeroen,
I have also found that the passive setting sounds better for a good fretless tone. However, my bass is very quiet when I switch it to passive. I went to your site and checked out a couple of your songs. You have a very nice sound!!! I was just wondering what kind of rig you use and if you like any effects on your basses?
Cheers,

Wes

First, let me add my praise - that is a beautiful collection you have there. Sometimes it's good to be "all Thumbs!"

But I'm curious as to what kind of wood "coromandel" is, because my '06 Corvette Std. fretless has a nicely figured Tigerstripe fingerboard that looks quite similar (though lighter in shade) to yours.

"The Sound (and Sweet Look) of Wood!"
