I can mimic what my bass player does and follow or make a rythym but I DO NOT know notes/ scales. What or how do you recommend i do to start learning? I usento play Saxophone in band so i can read music.

Get charts that include piano parts with separate left
and right hand staffs. The bass line is in the left hand,
usually the staff with the f-cleff/bass-cleff.

Hi Thumbinators maniac ;)
I'm so proud to join your family !
I just bought a Thumb bass BO from 1993, one of the first, it's serial number is C 0000188 93.
The name Thumb Bass still appears on the cover of the truss rod and not thumb BO as from 1994, the year of official launch of the Thumb BO.
What I like with this bass, apart from its quality and exceptional sound, it has a real story. I bought it from a professional musician who had owned it since 2000, he was the second owner. This bass has done hundreds live sessions, thousands of hours of practice sessions and it's always on top!

Very nice sound and it's look pretty good too !

I´m still working on the sound. It´s a bit too clear this way, isn´t it? But atm I still want to hear the higher frequencies to have an orientation.

Yes, very bright sounds, I think we hear the finger attack too much. But I like that, the sound doesn't sound too much like a jazzy sound!

sounds great but definitely has that EMG high end tone. Are they newer strings.. might just need to wear in a bit.

The single in the body is of course the normal placement for the pup batt. Are the 3 in the main cavity all wired together? If so...all for the lights.

Thought you all might like to see my Thumb NT4 that I converted to a medium scale. (My hands don't like
doing the four-fret stretch down near the nut on long scale basses.)

We moved the nut up to where the first fret was, and moved the dot markers on the side of the neck.
