This not awarwick,but its my last build from scratch.
I call it "the bass of Navarone"
Its 47-44" scale,headles,torzal twisted neck,strandbergs endourneck design.

Also curious if you're using standard tuning. I'm wondering because of the extra-long scale.

It was a great chalenge to build this thing.
The tuning is standard BEADG.
It can be tuned an octave lower than standard 4strings without get muddy sounding,but i dont think i need so low tuning right now.
Standard BEADG is the most usable tuning for me

Sounds good but to my ears it sounds like it needs a setup. But I guess the impression is natural since it is a huge scale that should be very hard to play right and produce a clean tone out of it.

In the recordings the person who plays is not me.Its my bass teacher.
Its the first time he plays with this bass and he have never played torzal or multiscale before.
If he had this bass a few days he would feel more confordable.
So,for his first time a bass like this,he plays very good,but he was nervous about step right it the frets.
I am sure it doesnt need a setup because i went it in an oficial taylor guitars repair man to do the set up,and he did a great job.
But,for sure,this bass,its not the most easy to play.The scale is huge and becomes difficult very easy.But you dont need to much time to get used to it.

Yes that's why I mentioned needing a setup must be just an impression, not actuality. Because of the difficulty of playing the instrument.

Yep.The truth is ,this bass is a little bit challenge on the first ride..

I'd say with a scale that long, if you want to play it horizontally with a strap, you'd have to gun-sling it on your right shoulder to keep the lower frets within reach.

Seriously, that it balances at all is quite a feat. We usually complain about the balance of 34" basses. May I ask what design decisions did you make (for example body shape, upper horn, and any others) to create a bass that has an acceptable balance? (as shown in your first pic).
