You should check out the Mark Egan vid on the pentabuzz-Or a Precision
Certainly a Pedulla Buzz
Mmm, Modulus VI for the Marcus Miller
Yeah, a Fretless jazz sounds like candy. Don’t know if they ever made one from the factory like those maple fingerboard P’s.That's my big Boner, a defretted '89 Fender USA Jazz
Heavy bass, only Fender I've ever played with great neck balance.
No idea if that's because of the elongated horn.
The tuners look way cool on this bass
You know Icehouse’s touring bassist Glenn Krawczk (or something that begins with a K followed by a bunch of consonants) played a lined Fretless four string XL2 live at The Ritz in 1986.I would definitely go a Fretless Steinberger
Or an old Musicman
So are you looking for a 4 or 5 string?I don't have one....but I want one.
I think I would work good with this Country Rock thing I'm doing
Looking for some ideas / inspiration
Post em' if you got em'
Thx
RIP

Oh damn!!......me likey
I noticed the maple neck and was thinking the same thing. If it was in the 5 to $600.00 range it'd be tempting.....beautiful bass though, and I'm sure it plays greatJust a heads up RIP. That looks to be a Rockbass with a few mods. And at near $1200 shipped... is way over priced.
There is a new black RB Fortress on Reverb for $860, but for near the same price, get one of the German ones and defret it yourself.
thanks! and yes, this photo taken long time ago and iirc it was fender black tapewounds, but lot of changes ocourd since then and now the bass have d'adario prosteels and also the bartolinis replaced and more. this photo from 2016. the steeles strings do nothing to the wenge fingerboard.Very nice-- are those tape wound strings?
