The bass was build before the moving to Markneukirchen, in Eggolsheim, near Nürnberg.
It is one of the first Masterman Fortress, build as a limited Edition, before it became series standard.

Quick heads up buddy, these tend to go around the 600-800 Euro mark, unless I am missing something and this is not a standard dual preamp model??

If they were the standard modells and not limited.
I can make a scan of the original bill, if you want to.
Warwick only produced one year the Masterman in Eggolsheim before the moved to Markneunkirchen, so it is a nice part of Warwick History :)

The price is negotiable, but will stay in 4 figures.

What is the nut width on this one ? It's a thin wengé neck... IS it 44mm ?
What are the controls ? Stacked Vol/Blend, then two Bass/Treble ?
Can you tell us more about the "limited" part ? I never heard of a LTD masterman, but I'll be glad to hear the story.

@Henrythe8 should be 38,5 mm according the Warwick website, but i will measure it. The D-profile is quite thick.
Yes, Vol/Blend Treble/Bass Treble/Bass
Actually I don't know if the chrome hardware in combination with the emeraud green satin surface was the limited part done for the dealer or more of the bass is different.
I will ask the dealer directly, hoping they have a good archive.
There was also a Fortress LTD 2014 in Nirvana black.

The 2014 LTD was not a Masterman. I'm also a bit concerned that this bass appears to be stored without strings on it, that can't be good for the neck.

Nonetheless, I do love Mastermans and I have the 5-string brother of this bass. If it falls into the range that Kev noted (which is the same price range I've paid for all of my Fortresses), I would strongly consider buying it.

iirc it is the body wood (alder) and the satin hw that makes it ltd as they where usually made of flame maple.

Ok it is a Fortress, but from the sound it sounds more like masterman then the fortress one.
It is stored with strings on, I only made pics after the cleaning and the waxing of the bass. But I can do more pics with strings on.

Is this alder? HP told me it would be Maple ?
I will ask him what is special on this limited Edition. The station music shop couldn't tell me anything, but its a new owner nowadays.
But yes, the satin hw is definetly unique, never saw it on a Fortress Masterman.

standard fortress masterman was made of flame maple
fortress one instruments where made of what they called swamp Maple first - which looked like ash wood.
Later all fortresses where made of flame maple as standard.
The wood if yours is neither I believe - and iirc the masterman model was in fact introduced as alimited edition and shortly after became a series model. So yours should be one of the first mastermans.

HPW might remember or not - hes has produced gazillions of basses :)

Thank you for your good eye, i am a mechnical engineer not a wood worm :)
Thx this explains why it says limited edition and why there is a truss rod cover with fortress one on it. So I am actually selling a Fortress one limited edition, later called the masterman.

Excuse me for being obnoxious abvout it, but have you measured the nut width ? As you said, it should be 38.5. But as you mention that the neck is "fat", and since there never was a fat non volute wengé neck, I'm curious :)
Thanks.

Sorry my fault, i will do so this evening :) On the WW Homepage it says 38.5 mm, but mine was not series standard...

Ok, it is 38.5 mm. String space on the nut is 10 mm.
It is not a fat neck, more an old D-profile but it is thicker than my german Corvette $$ (from 2008) which has more a modern D-profile.
For those of you, who prefer bass pics with strings, i hope you like the two shades of green ;)
