Hi all :D,

I love the old warwick streamer bass and i search informations about the EMG preamp who was put on it at beginning.
did someone have a wiring diagram of it?

i have bought this preamp with the emg pickups from a '84 streamer but i don't know how to connect it with the pots!
i hope you understand me and i apologize for my bad english...:x

Hi Miracle, and welcome to the forum!
If you post some detailed pictures with the preamp, some of the vintage warwick owners might be able to help :)
Where are you from, buddy?

Thank you!

In fact, i didn't know that old warwicks have this EMG preamp until recently. i think it was install very early in the production and the MEC 2 band preamp comes very fastly to change it...very few informations about it.

this pre can be found in streamerst and thumbs from 84-86.

The pre has been re-issued in the context of the 2012 ltd edition streamer.
so if you can lookup the schematics of this model you will see how things are supposed to be connected.
Nevertheless I will check with one of my old streamers.

Hi schlobodan,

when i go to the specification of the ltd 2012, i see: Original 2-band MEC replica electronic from 1984.
so, i think it's the old 2 band preamp MEC i have in my '88 streamer bass, not the EMG one ,isnt it?
Anyway, i can't find a wiring diagram of it on the warwick website...

if you can post some pictures with a little description , it will be very helpfull.
i have 3 pots who are connected with the preamp bust the last one (the double) is not and none of the pots are conected to each other.
i don't know where i have to connect the jack input and the pickups too.

thanks

i will try this first, so don't waste time with pics.
Thanks again for you help!

no need to apologize:)

actually MEC had not been founded then afaik. Vlad Hansal copied the EMG pre design (I think). So this is not an EMG pre but a pre built after the EMG pre of that time or something.

cheers
Sascha
