Ovangkol vs. Shedua

What is the deal with the names Ovangkol vs. Shedua? Why are there two names? What is the original/first name?:?:

The scientific name is Guibourtia ehie, ovangkol and shedua are common names in different languages of this same tree. Think of acer: you can call it maple, I call it acero, but it's the same plant.

Only fairly recently did I learn that
