Buckethead is someone that while they have not made a sjngle post. that I know of, is an immensly important person on this forum.

Herbie came out ok I thought, and no I didn't do anything to it, that's his own face. But the thing that really struck me was the whole time I was working on it, I just couldn't help thinking how cute Tal really is. I played a bunch off her stuff off the youboob while working on it. If that's the way you grow your women down under, I may just have to move there. Do Aussie woman like Ugly, Old, Fat, Broke, American Bass Players? "Cause American women sure don't! hahaha

Some like fat,old,broke & ugly Aussies,so I'd say yes,they must.;)
Ime it's usually all about the personality,& from getting to know your's,I'd say you'd do pretty good with the ladies here Randy. The target you're after also is a big factor.I mean, what's the point in someone like me & you going after a 19 year old stick insect who's skimpy undies are worn higher than her jeans?Ya gotta be realistic with these things. That's not to say we should aim our sights in the general direction of the nearest nursing home.
As far as American women go.I've had a little experience in that field & found after they got used to my accent,it was all down hill after that.

Buckethead is HPB?

I'm liking the new line of people mock ups! :)

And as far as the tip jar goes, I did get a bit out of it, but that was in good part for the forum poster. The mockup thing did get out of hand for a bit, and I was spending a lot of time on it... My creative energy is focused on other things right now, but who knows, I might come back to creating crazy basses for the heck of it at some point...

:)

Speaking Of Which... I have 2 new bass mockups and reposting one I already did some time ago. I'd also like to thank the kids for modeling them for me and their babysitter who also modeled one of my mockups ....

Left to Right we have Luca with the Corvette $$, next is Zakk with a Thumb NT and finally, you can't leave a couple kids alone in the studio, not even great kids like Luca and Zakk, so we have the babysitter sitting in the back, Gastrok with the Snakewood Vampyre.

Looks like a fun day was had by all.

hey greg, did I get the eyes right? In the original picture his eyes are red and from what pictures I could find I couldn't really tell his eye color.. Looked like it could have been brown or green and I had found the coolest looking green eyes, so I used them. Also so far your lucky greg, I haven't been able to find a picture of you... atleast where your not hiding behind Zakk. Ian on the other hand is a different story ... I do have a pic of him. muhahahaha

Hey Randy, I think your people mockups look great but could I give you some Photoshop advice.... if you don't mind.

When superimposing faces and heads "line-up" the eyes from both shots in order to get a somewhat similar size resemblance. I know you're still learning the craft and they look great so far, just trying to lend a hand.

If you need any photoshop "tips or tricks" let me know, I went through Adobe's basic and advance course and wouldn't mind sharing some things they taught me.

Yes .. Please ... Thank You ... I'm basically clueless about what I am doing and am just going with trial and error process thus far so any ideas, suggestions, tricks, help of any kind is greatly appreciated. I like the idea of using the eyes as a size reference, but one of my biggest problems is that I am so limited on pics to use. Most of the time the head I have to use is looking a totally different direction than the head I'm superimposing it on. On the Buckethead pic which I believe to be clearly the worse I did so far, all I did was cut out bucketheads mask and place the pic of HPW under the pic of buckethead so that HPW's face would show where the mask was. (that is also how I did Herbies Face and Zakks Eyes) Oh and in the original Pic buckethead was wearing a plain white bucket so I superimpossed a KFC bucket over it. Superimposing a childs head on an adults body was clearly a challange I didn't do that great at. Blowing up the head to the same size as an adults really made it look kind of weird. and I couldn't figure any way around it. But for me, I think different skin tones and various shading is my biggest problem. With Luca, I tries to make a some neck and left the dark shadow around the original pictures under the jaw line thinking it would help make it look like a shadow, but now as I look at it it serves more as a line that points out that it is so not the right head for the pic.

What I have learned concerning making a bass mockup is alot of help from T6 and in fact he had sent me several of his mockups, (mostly Fbasses) for me to study how he gets certain effects. The rest has just been alot of trial and error. I think I have progressed from the first couple basses in these people mockups to the latest. The early ones looked so flat layered over the original pic and now they are starting to take a little shape and look more natural in the pic. But I am still having a lot of problems with getting the angles to look right. I build my bass mockups to be a flat straight on view but when I try and and stick them in a pic where the original instrument is not sitting at the exact same angle I flounder.

To be honest I think the biggest problem for me is that I really don't have an artistic bone in my body. At least when it comes to drawing. I can't draw to save my a**. I would mess up a shadow drawing, and that is just tracing a line around a shadow. So yes, please. Any help that anyone is willing to give is most certain very welcome and you don't need to worry about hurting my feelings. I do understand corrective critisim and gladly welcome and accept it. Thank You.

Ian, me a gentleman???? Ive been called alot of things, but gentleman .... hmmm, ok, I'll try!

NP Florin ... glad you liked it.

Herb .. lol , yea, if that pic is any indication, you two would make really ugly babies ..... Besides, she is my dream woman so you need to keep your grimey dream paws off her. Really ... having dreams about another man's dream woman, what kind of man are you in your dreams. I would think that is dream adultery and there has to be some kind of code of ethics about those kinds of dreams.

btw, I have an interesting pic of flea Im considering using .... hmmmm I wonder who I should pic on next....
